The Spiritual Practice Of Forgiveness - Your Ticket to Clarity, Vitality and FREEDOM!
The Practice Of Forgiveness! What does forgiveness mean to you? Today I did an angel card reading which I shared with you on my YouTube Channel and one of the cards from the deck I was using fell out. It was the word "Forgiveness" that was writtern on the card which was one of the soul messages that I shared with you all. The angels and your soul wanted you to be aware that Forgiveness was needed in some area of your life, either with yourself or with others or a situaution that no longer serves you and your highest good. For me forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance towards a person or group of people who have harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. Forgiveness is also learning to forgive not just others, but ourselves also. If we hate and are angry with someone, we only really end up hurting ourselves as we feel the pain, anger and frustration and this doesnt help us in life and on our spiritual journey. Energy within us gets stuck, we get frustrated and find it hard to move past this. Its not affecting the other person, only ourselves. Why do we do this to ourselves? What I have learned during my 25 years of personal, spiritual growth and healing, is that forgiveness will cure whatever ails you. It's the most important inner work you can do within your mind and heart. Most of us were never taught that any experience that comes into your life comes by energetic innovation. For this reason it is imperative that you learn to keep your energy clear. The practice of forgiveness is your ticket to clarity, vitality and freedom. By letting go of deeply held negative feelings about yourself, a person or people or a situation that has happened to you. It empowers you to recognise the pain you felt without that pain defining you and taking over your life or feelings, enabling you to heal and move on with your life. What else does Forgiveness give us:
It makes us happier. Research suggests that not only happy people are more likely to forgive but forgiving others especially when we forgive someone who is close to us, makes you feel happier.
It improves our health - when we dwell on grudges, our blood pressure and heart rate spikes, which are all signs of stress that damage the body, which can compromise our immune system. When we forgive, our stress levels drop and we become more healthier. As regular practice of forgiveness takes place we are protecting ourselves from negative health effects of stress and emotional tension.
It Improves relationships with yourself and others. Its great for marriages (most of the time)
It boosts Kindness and connectedness
View forgiveness as a gift to you and to bring peace and happiness in your life. Now it's your turn... I want you to look at a situation that you felt wronged or you felt sad or bad or angry about. That either someone, something or yourself did. Once you have that experience in your mind and that you are feeling the sensations of feeling bad, angry or upset. Turn to the person or people or yourself in your mind and say I'm sorry that this happened, I forgive you, I forgive myself for feeling these feelings of pain and anger. I release this pain and frustration and let it go. And breath out the negative feelings you held inside, out of your body, totally and completely with your breathe. Repeating this a few times will help to release the anger and pain that you feel inside and most importantly will help you to forgive yourself and to move forward in your life. Practice this on as many past or recent issues that you have held onto and practice forgiving yourself and the situation and always looking at the positive in situations that arise. And then let go and focus on moving forward. Make a note of how this situation now feels inside, does it feel better? worse? See if its changed the way you feel about yourself, person/s and the event. Making a note is a great way to become more aware of your feelings inside and how you can change them around by just using the simple act of forgiveness.
